The Election Process in Banteay Meanchey Province Goes Smoothly in all 67 Communes

BANTEAY MEANCHEY: Deputy Prime Minister Ke Kim Yan went to place his vote for the Commune/District Council election at Koun Dhan Primary School in Sangkat O'Ambel. He said that the election is very important for the nation as well as for the development of each commune where the people who own the ballot must vote.

The process of the 5th Mandate Commune / District Council Election 2022 is going smoothly, with no incidents of insecurity. All polling stations have displayed excellent security and order. Separately, polling stations also have both national and international observers present, including observers from political parties.

Polls for the 5th Commune / District Council Election 2022 opened across Cambodia at 7 am on Sunday, 5 June, with a total of 1,114 polling stations in Banteay Meanchey province.

According to a report obtained by EAC News in Banteay Meanchey province from the National Election Commission (NEC) in Banteay Meanchey province, there are 89 municipalities, 67 communes and districts in the province with 1,114 offices. A total of 405,730 people are on the 2021 voter list. There are 11 out of 17 political parties competing in Banteay Meanchey province.
